Multiply both sides of both equations by 100:

$\displaystyle{100}{{\cos{{30}}}}^{\circ}={x}\usepackage{cmbright}\Huge\$ and $\displaystyle{100}{{\sin{{30}}}}^{\circ}={y}\usepackage{cmbright}\Huge\$

Add the two distances and use a calculator to find a numerical value.
