You have reversed the order of the terms. You should be using $\displaystyle{a}{\left({b}-{c}\right)}={a}{b}-{a}{c}\usepackage{cmbright}\Huge\$ . Since subtraction is not commutative, this is not the same as $\displaystyle{a}{c}-{a}{b}\usepackage{cmbright}\Huge\$ .
