It seems that you added 6 instead of dividing both sides of the equation by $\displaystyle-{6}\usepackage{cmbright}\Huge\$ . Adding 6 to $\displaystyle-{6}{x}\usepackage{cmbright}\Huge\$ will not leave you with x, and you must do the same thing to both sides.
